The French Bulldog that we know today is related with the English Bulldog, and it is the result of the Parisian dog passionate breeders, made around the years 1880. There are many speculations around the subject, but the most probable version is that it is the follower of the English bulldogs. The French bull dogs were appreciated for their adaptability to small spaces. They were also preferred for their abilities to hunt rats, which was a useful “characteristic” during those times, when people started to live in blocks of flats.
