The German Shepherd was bred in Germany, with the goal of guarding houses and especially stocks. The breeders had to take care of this race, because it was easily compromised. People all over Germany were impressed with the speed and dedication of those dogs, so the breed had to be standardized. Along the German Shepherd History, it was imported in many other countries, and this is why it is widely spread today.
