Cheetahs and the Times That They Hunt

Cheetahs are interesting animals because they are different than many of the other large cats that exist on the planet. For example, the cheetah will hunt during the daytime, whereas most of the other species of large cats will prefer to hunt during the night. This does not mean that cheetahs will not hunt throughout the night, though they prefer to do their hunting early in the morning or the evening. If the moon casts plenty of light over the savannah, then the cheetahs will hunt during the night. They typically hunt antelope that they find in the areas where they live.

Cheetahs and Their Many Predators

The cheetah must be careful in the area of Africa where it resides. This is because these cats have a number of different predators. Some of the predators of the cheetah are hyenas, lions, and even eagles. People are also considered to be a predator of this animal because they are typically hunted for their fur. Since cheetahs can be found in the plains of Africa, this means that they do not have very many places that they can go to hide. One of the benefits of these cats being so fast is that they are able to escape their predators.
