The first Doberman puppies were created during the 19th century, but the breed that we know today is different from the one from 200 years ago. The “modern” Doberman was obtained by crossings with the German Pincher, with the Rottweiler, or with some other traditional German races. It is a big sized dog even as a puppy, with elegant moves. It can have many colors, but as it was crossed excessively with other breeds, some of the exemplars might not have the characteristics of an authentic Doberman. Currently, the most appreciated Doberman puppies are those with a black color, but you can also find blue or dark brown authentic exemplars.
