The English bull dogs are known in England for almost one millennium. Some say that it comes from the Epir Molossus, the common ancestor of all big dogs. Even if the race was not so popular lately, the passionate breeders continued to promote the race. They tried to preserve the guarding instincts, even if this meant to create aggressive dogs.
The English Bull Dog is distinguished amongst other dogs. It is practically impossible to confuse it with other types of dogs. Its squeezed face and calm temperament (at least until it is provoked) will help you to distinguish it on the streets. Even so, bull dogs can make great company dogs.
